Architectural Technology with Sustainable Construction
Develop practical skills in architectural drawing, construction detailing, and CAD while exploring how sustainable design is shaping the future of the built environment. This course combines technical training with creative problem-solving, giving you the tools to create design solutions that balance creativity and technology with the needs of people, place, and community.

*Please note that Building Construction (5N1570) is a double-weighted module.

QQI Level 5 Award in Construction Technology (5M5010)
Duration
1 year – September to May (full-time)
Entry Requirements
Applicants should hold a Leaving Certificate, LCA, or LCVP and will be invited to attend an interview. Those already working in drawing offices may apply through the industry block-release option. Mature applicants are very welcome.
Third Level Links/Progression
Graduates have progressed to degree programmes in Architectural Technology and related built-environment fields at TUD- Architectural Technology (TU831) and SETU -Architectural Technology (Level 7/8).
Many students also continue their studies through the Higher Education Links Scheme, using their QQI qualification to access courses in Construction Design, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Sustainable Construction at other third-level institutions in Ireland and abroad.
