The aim of the course is to provide students with industry ready qualifications to obtain a sustainable career within Sport and Exercise Sciences. The Advanced Soccer Coaching & Sports Psychology course is unique because along with the QQI level 6 award students can undertake ITEC Gym Instruction within the Sports Management and Personal Training.

Entry Requirements
It is compulsory that potential candidates have at least a QQI level 5 certificate in Sport & Recreation (or a relevant cogent qualification). Experience and interest in soccer/coaching is essential. The student will be required to perform a practical interview on sport competencies and a formal interview with the course coordinator. Successful completion of the Leaving Certificate is desirable but not essential.
Third Level Links/Progression
This course is suitable for learners who intend to continue their studies in a third level educational institute. Successful graduates, through the Higher Education Links Scheme, may work towards a diploma or degree in nutrition, science or related areas. For more information, click here

Our Soccer Coaching & Sports Psychology Course is about developing the skills and knowledge needed to become coaches, referees, managers and other key personnel skills for working with Junior Soccer teams. The FAI’s Kickstart 1 and Kickstart 2 programmes form part of the course which will provide students with the foundation for attaining the higher FAI coaching badges. The course has practical modules including coaching and exercise and fitness and also provides the student with further education and workplace opportunities. There are also several theory-based modules which require students to gain a deeper understanding of the various elements in the coaching and leisure sectors.

ITEC Diploma
Yoga, Massage, Reflexology have all seen increased participation in the wellness and complementary health sectors. The ITEC Complementary Therapy Awards listed in this programme are vocational qualifications recognised by Ofqual within the UK Qualifications and Credit Framework. They focus on a range of practical skills and underpinning knowledge required in the Complementary Therapy Industry. The modules include Hot Stones, Yoga, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, and Onsite Massage. The qualification is designed to provide occupational competency for employment and is acceptable for registration on the CNHC register of Complementary Therapies in the UK.
As part of this programme the Learner will study the business aspects, principles and theories of complementary therapies as well as the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the whole body. They will also study modules such as Onsite Massage, Indian Head Massage, Yoga, Hot Stones, and Reflexology and the underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform these treatments.

Entry Requirements
- Education: Previously achieved an ITEC or equivalent award in a Massage Therapy field OR Leaving Certificate or Equivalent OR Exemptions may be made for adult learners with previous experience in the workplace.
- Aptitude: A genuine interest in working the field.
- Previous Experience: Not essential but any previous experience in a salon would be an advantage.
