This one-year course is designed to give anyone with an interest in Science a good understanding and appreciation of the Sciences and provide for the acquisition of relevant theoretical and laboratory skills. The course also provides students with the opportunity to develop work related skills in a laboratory setting.
Course Content
Biology (5N2746); Chemistry (5N2747); Microbiology (5N0737); Mathematics (5N1833); Laboratory Skills (5N2751); Communications (5N0690); Work Experience (5N1356); Physics (5N1460) or Nutrition (5N2006) option. You can also choose Maths for STEM (5N0556) as an additional subject

QQI Level 5 Award in Laboratory Techniques (5M3807)
Duration
1 year – September to May (full-time)
Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate with at least a grade C in Ordinary level Mathematics and one Science subject at Leaving Certificate or equivalent exam, although consideration will be given at interview to any well motivated student. We are looking for enthusiasts. Mature students are particularly welcome.
