eBusiness QQI Award (5M0828)

This is a QQI Level 5 course which aims to train people in IT to work in a modern office environment. The programme aims to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and competence in the core areas of e-Business Studies, the Internet and Web Authoring. This course will also enable learners to develop skills in payroll – manual & computerised – essential skills in a business environment. This course is supported by F.I.T.

Career Opportunities

Upon successfully completing the Business, IT & eCommerce course, students may obtain employment in administration positions in an office.

Third Level Links/Progression

Students who achieve Level 5 QQI certification can gain entry to a number of Third Level courses – such as Accounting (Maynooth), Business Studies (TU Dublin), Economics (UCD) – via the CAO application process and the Higher Education Links Scheme. For more information, click here

Business QQI Award (6M4985)

This is a QQI Level 6 course which provides advanced competencies in areas such as relational database, spreadsheets, business management and payroll which are highly sought after in the business environment. Professional presentation skills are also key factors in personal development and offer the opportunity to widen the skills set that can be offered to employers.

Applicants must have achieved a full QQI Level 5 in a cognate area and/or have previous relevant work experience.

Successful students can obtain employment in business and voluntary organisations.

Third Level Links/Progression

Students may gain access to further study in ITs, including Tallaght IT and Carlow with the possibility of entering directly into year 2 of some courses. For more information, click here

Healthcare Support QQI Award (5M4339)

This course will equip students with the skills and knowledge to competently work with older clients in a professional and compassionate manner.

Complete the online application form and applicants will be contacted to come for an interview. Learners on this course will require Garda Vetting which the college will do with each student.
