Complete the online application form and applicants will be contacted to come for an interview. Learners on this course will require Garda Vetting which the college will do with each student.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the course can work in a variety of care settings such as home care, nursing homes and hospital settings.
Third Level Links/Progression
There are opportunities to progress to other relevant higher awards in Third Level such as General Nursing (DCU) and Applied Social Studies in Social Care (TU Dublin).

This one-year course is designed to give anyone with an interest in Science a good understanding and appreciation of the Sciences and provide for the acquisition of relevant theoretical and laboratory skills. The course also provides students with the opportunity to develop work related skills in a laboratory setting.

1 year – September to May (full-time)
Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate with at least a grade C in Ordinary level Mathematics and one Science subject at Leaving Certificate or equivalent exam, although consideration will be given at interview to any well motivated student. We are looking for enthusiasts. Mature students are particularly welcome.

Students who achieve Level 5 QQI certification can gain entry to a number of language and arts courses in universities such as DCU and UCD via the CAO application process and the Higher Education Links Scheme.
